I am passionate about creating accessible opportunities for local people whether that’s to take part in a workshop or develop their career as an artist. Weston is my hometown and I want to enable local people to realise their potential and achieve their aspirations given that many of the current opportunities were not available whilst I was growing up here.

Working at Super Culture has given me the knowledge, skills and confidence to grow my other artistic ventures. For the past 4 years I have organised and hosted the Rhyme Against the Tide poetry slam at Loves Cafe. It has been inspiring to watch many poets – some performing for the first time ever – step out of their comfort zone and showcase their talents. 

Being a part of the Super Culture team has allowed me to expand my knowledge beyond my academic background in theatre and performance. I have learnt that growing creativity here can help improve people’s well-being, regenerate our spaces and bring a bit of spice to life!
