Weston Wallz

In 2023, Weston-super-Mare was once again the home of street art as the team behind Upfest, Europe’s largest street art festival, headed to the coast.

After the successful launch in September 2021 and the successful follow up in 2022, Upfest brought unique murals to the seaside in May and June of 2023, with the return of Weston Wallz in partnership with Weston-super-Mare Town Council, Super Culture and supported by Arts Council England.

A diverse selection of local, national and international artists created large scale artworks on Weston’s walls. One of a kind designs have been created by each artist bringing their own style and flare to a variety of buildings in the town.

Large-scale murals were painted on Weston’s Wallz by local and national artists. Adding to the mural trail for 2023 were Katie Scott, Peachzz, Inkie, My Dog Sighs, Lucas Antics, Sarah Dicks, Samo, Squirl, Will Barras, Faye Suzannah, Mishfit, Molly Mural, Ejits, Acerone, Mr Draws and Martin Glover who also led British Sign Language (BSL) street art tours.
