Tam Lin Retold

The ballad may be known as Tam Lin, but he’s only a part of it. Part sung, part told, this is a tale of poison, pluck and changing shape.

Described by audiences as ‘enthralling’ and ‘fresh and full of life’, Tam Lin Retold explores untold stories and unsung voices. Enchanting and sharp in equal measure, this is badass border balladry for the old and the new.

Corinne is a Bristol-based performance storyteller with mixed Irish/British heritage. She creates original work based on folktales, myths and legends that re-centres marginalised voices and silenced histories. As well as engaging with traditional storytelling practices, she uses physical theatre, stand-up comedy & audience participation to create vivid storytelling performances for contemporary audiences.

Nick is an award-winning singer and multi-instrumentalist, most noted for his work with English traditional song. He has performed extensively as an actor musician, and as a composer/arranger has provided music for radio, television, theatre and dance.

Corinne and Nick have a great respect for each other’s craft and have worked together on several occasions. Tam Lin Retold is their first major collaboration.
