Carry My Heart with You

As you learn about the end-of-life volunteering service at Weston General Hospital, knit or sew a pair of memory hearts with North Somerset creative organisation ‘Hooked’.

The paired hearts are shared with people in their last weeks of life – one stays with the patient, the other with their loved ones – as a reminder of their lasting relationship.

Between 1pm and 3pm, Frances Taylor will be on hand to introduce the End-of-Life Care Volunteer Service at Weston General Hospital (part of Bristol NHS Foundation Trust). It offers patients and their relatives and close friends time, care and compassion through sitting, listening, sharing music or simply holding a hand.

Frances is happy to talk to anyone who is interested in becoming an end-of-life volunteer at the hospital.
