Can cutting your hair or beard be an act of renewal?

In ‘Barber Stories’, mobile barber Dries Desmet invites you to share 30 minutes with him. As your hair or beard is cut, he’ll listen to your story, drawing inspiration from the way cultures from the Māori to the Iranians to the Polynesians have long treated haircutting as both a moment of connection and an act of transformation and rebirth.

Hailing from Belgium, Dries has motorcycled around the world cutting hair and gathering stories.
He is creating a book of fifty chapters, documenting his motorcycling barber journey. If he decides to feature your story, he’ll contact you to confirm that you’re happy to be included. Once the book is published, he’ll deliver you a copy in person. On his bike, of course.
