Poet Hussain Manawer headlines poetry evening at Loves in Weston

Hussain Manawer, a renowned poet, writer, and mental health advocate known for his collaborations with prominent figures like Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry, headlines an evening of powerful poetry and storytelling at Loves Café in Weston-super-Mare. 

Together Through the Seasons: Stories of Resilience, presented by Loves and supported by Super Culture, takes place on Thursday 12 December at Loves, 9 West Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1JR. 

Tickets are available at https://www.lovesweston.co.uk/ from £5 for concessions, £10 for general admission and £16.50 to include an optional South Asian inspired supper of dhal and samosa. Doors open at 7pm, with supper served at 7.30pm and the performance starting at 8pm. 

A Sunday Times best selling poet and author of the acclaimed poetry collection ‘Life is Sad and Beautiful’, Hussain’s impactful work explores themes of mental health, identity and social justice with compelling words that inspire and resonate. 

As part of the event, he will be joined by talented local artists in a brilliant line-up of performances that bring the community together to share stories of strength and unity during the festive season. 

Local artists include Louise Hill Davis, an established poet with a unique voice in exploring themes of identity and community; Jaidah, a poet from Weston-super-Mare known for her powerful reflections on resilience and personal growth; and Jemma Hathaway from Plymouth, whose recently published book, ‘I’ve been looking everywhere for you’, has deeply touched the hearts of her readers.
