Exciting south-west project Circus Around and About 2 kicks off with Max Calaf Sevé’s Anyday

Extraordinary circus events will be taking place in rural and urban communities across the south-west this year, as part of Circus Around and About 2, starting this month with Max Calaf Sevé’s show Anyday.
Building on the successful 2021 pilot tour, Circus Around and About 2 is a south-west touring circus project, funded by an Arts Council England Lottery Project Grant. The project is led by Take Art with principal partners Crying Out Loud and Extraordinary Bodies, in collaboration with nine presenting partners (venues and touring schemes).
Six outstanding performing companies have been selected to bring their extraordinary contemporary circus shows and workshops to rural parts of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Somerset, plus urban community venues in Cinderford, Gloucester, Stroud and Weston-Super-Mare.
Kicking off the project’s touring programme this month is Max Calaf Sevé, a contemporary circus artist who specialises in trampoline acrobatics, object manipulation and physical theatre. He creates indoor and outdoor performances, challenging himself to break the boundaries of what is possible on the trampoline. His stunning solo show Anyday is a circus show like no other and a day in the life like no other! Max is touring to nine south-west venues between 19 March to 1 April. Anyday depicts Max living on a trampoline, with only his little pet bird for company. Every day his life is the same, but Max decides he wants a change, so they embark on an adventure together. Anyday follows the two friends in their funny, bouncing daily routine, with breathtaking trampoline skills and hilarious clowning. This is a brilliant and unique new show for all the family.
Circus Around and About 2 aims to increase a welcome to diverse audiences including D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people. It also aims to support the circus sector, by opening up touring opportunities for circus artists, and introducing rural and urban community touring to Circomedia students.
