How do the objects we buy and sell at a car boot sale carry our stories, memories and histories?

Documentary artist Paul Blakemore has spent two years recording conversations at car boot sales across the South West, gathering the stories and objects that carry meaning and memories for the stallholders he’s met. Paul has documented these unique British markets using old dictaphones, camcorders, tape players and cameras sourced from car boot sales themselves.

The interactive tabletop exhibition draws together these objects, recordings and stories, opening up conversations about what we hold onto, what we pass on, and what this means.
