We are Warriors: In Between Time

Made up of thousands of tiny lights, this ever-evolving light and sound installation will transform the Causeway at sunset into a twinkling site of remembrance, reflection and connection/immersion in the coastal landscape.

The critically acclaimed producers In Between Time invite you to add your own light in tribute to somebody who has helped you to push away the dark.

Help us fill the causeway with light.

As the sun begins to set at 5pm, the causeway will begin to fill with flickering lights – each one representing someone who has been lost or silenced – which gradually join to create a luminous thread across the water as darkness falls. Hear an ethereal soundscape of the songs, sighs and roars of 130 recorded women and girls from Bristol and North Somerset. 

Stay with us as the light changes and the artwork comes fully into its own.

What does it mean to be heard? What do we carry when someone or something is lost? And what happens when our individual voices come together?

We are Warriors invite people to join Develop Your Roar – a free creative workshop exploring voice, grief, loss and remembrance through movement, sound and collective expression.

In collaboration with Werewolf, a performance collective based in Sydney, Australia, a roar will also be staged on the other side of the world. They’ll roar towards us from the coast of Australia, and we’ll roar back across the sea.
