Includes:

  • Tiny Harp Tasters: Create your own harp melody with UHBW Musician-in-Residence Tamsin Elliott
  • Hugs in the Making with Rebels Picnic, in collaboration with Weston Artspace: Join us in creating something cosy, meaningful, and full of heart. Hugs in the Making is a community-driven project turning granny squares into blankets that offer warmth, comfort, and care to those who need it most.  Clients of Home Instead care services and communities across Weston have been busy creating their squares in advance of the festival.  Come and add your stitch to the mix!
  • North Somerset Libraries: ‘The Book That Changed My Life’—explore stories with surprising superpowers
  • Hospital Staff Creativity: Learn a new creative skill from your local Hospital Staff, sharing their knowledge of crochet to henna supported by UHBW Arts & Culture Team.
  • Therapeutic Horticulture: Alive’s therapeutic horticulture sessions at Weston General Hospital offer patients and their loved ones access to meaningful activity away from the ward.  Come along, get your hands dirty and see for yourself how positive nature and gardening can be.
  • Knit and Natter: Unwind with Weston’s Knit and Natter – a friendly, welcoming group where absolute beginners are just as welcome as avid knitters. Warm in every way!

2025 is the sixth year for Weston Arts + Health Festival, a partnership between UHBW NHS Foundation Trust and Super Culture that shines a light on the creative provision that exists in Weston year-round to bring people together in positive, shared activity that can support both physical and mental health.
