George

I have been working in participatory and community arts for 15 years. I advocate for creativity, play and participation as both a joyful and powerful human experience as well as a force and catalyst for social change. I believe that encouraging creative collaborations and unlikely partnerships has the potential to boost wellbeing, heal rifts, re-knit communities and add depth and texture to our everyday lives, teaching us about the world around us and the people who inhabit it.

I am driven in my work by the principles of generosity, Kindness, empathy, care and love and seek to encourage working practice that honours these in sustainable ways. I have a background in creative producing, project management and strategic charity development and have led projects and programmes for Alive Activities, Travelling Light Theatre Company,  Paper Balloon Theatre Company, Liquid Listening, Soundcastle, Flibbertigibbet Theatre and Creative Youth Network among others. I am a co-founder and former director of Wyldwood Arts.
