Our year-round programme of festivals in Weston-super-Mare showcases the very best international artists and performers, co-created community projects and up and coming local talent. From sublime street art and world class contemporary dance on the beach to climate carnivals, synchronised swimming, poetry slams, feral gardening, community cooking and more there is something for everyone – and everyone is invited.
Whirligig! Outdoor Arts Festival Winner of Best UK Small Event, National Outdoor Events Association Awards, 2019. Whirligig brings fiesta vibes to the Italian Gardens every September, with the very best of European circus and dance on offer to surge adrenaline levels.
Climate Carnival is an affirmative and riotous spectacle created by the town’s community that engages people of all ages with positive climate action.
Party on the Green is co-produced with residents of the South Ward community to energise and engage their community with out-of-the-box arts activity.
GLOW Light Festival is produced by Weston based artist Paula Birtwistle, with support from Super Culture, PYTCH, North Somerset Council and Weston-super-Mare Town Council to illuminate Grove Park and Central Weston into sites of winter wonder.
Weston Literature Festival is launching in October 2023 as a co-production between Super Culture and Weston Town Council, spilling a love of words and books across town.
