A celebration that flies the flag for our creative communities in North Somerset.
Our Flag Carnival is back, following last year’s roaring success at our Arts & Health festival in 2025… and this year, we’re going bigger!
Centring the importance of togetherness, connection & collaboration, Flag Carnival will see us host flag making workshops throughout Spring/Summer 2026 right across Weston & North Somerset. Community members and artists will then unite at an all-singing, all-dancing, flag-flying Flag Parade at our Arts & Health Festival, where the flags will be displayed to the public in a celebratory procession & left to fly as part of an installation.

Working alongside community groups right across North Somerset, Flag Carnival will support groups to make a unique flag that celebrates individuality, encourages togetherness, platforms local groups & join together with other local offerings in our Flag Carnival, celebrating the wonderful diverse worlds of our region.
As well as collaborating with local community groups, we’ll be holding open drop-in creative sessions across our summer festivals to create collective community flags with professional textile artists.

Anybody is invited to join in and there will be many ways to get involved so do keep checking back to find out more!
A collaboration between Super Culture, Alliance Homes, and The Healthy Living Centre, funded by Without Walls.
