Shared Reading Group
Shared Reading groups bring people together through great stories and poems to talk, laugh and share.
“The Reader is the best thing I have ever belonged to as a group member and a volunteer” Joyce, Liverpool
How does it work? A group of people, one of them a trained Reader Leader, reads a short story or poem aloud. Then we talk about it in any way we want to. There is no need for group members to read aloud or speak – it’s fine to just listen.
Shared Reading is part of The Reader, a national arts charity. Hundreds of Shared Reading groups meet across the country. This is a new group in Weston, meeting throughout May and June on 12, 19, 26 May, 2, 9, 16 June, 10.00 – 11.30am
Tea, coffee and reading material provided. Copies of the texts are provided at the session. Just bring yourself.
The event is drop-in but if you would like to let us know you are coming you can book a free ticket using the link on the left.
