Weston Chef cooks up a healthy future as pioneering food initiative field doctor.™ is launched

Operating from Weston-super-Mare’s Food Works, field doctor.™ – co-founded by food entrepreneur Martin Dewey and dietitian Sasha Wakins – presents the UK’s first-ever range of nutritionally supercharged ready meals. Delicious dishes that combine great taste with proven nutritional science look set to transform mealtimes throughout the area

Head Chef Matt Williamson and his team at Food Works in Weston-super-Mare cook up each dish in small batches. The meals are then flash frozen, to lock in goodness and flavour, and delivered in recyclable packaging direct to the customer’s door.

Originally from New Zealand, Matt has headed up restaurant kitchens, from urban Michelin operations to remote, award winning pubs, via bijou pop ups and trendy food trucks. His award-winning skills have devised delicious recipes for brands such as Gucci, Vogue, Yeo Valley and Pukka Teas.

Matt Williamson said: “I am a passionate ambassador for food education and in my spare time run projects for children and adults, promoting healthy eating and encouraging positive food cultures and life-long habits. field doctor.™ provides the perfect opportunity to showcase these values in an innovative range of meals created not only to taste really good but to do you so much good.”

Believed to be the healthiest ready meals available in the UK, every field doctor.™ dish is made using natural ingredients based on the latest nutritional science research.
