Rachel

I’m a freelance writer and researcher and I create Super Stories for the Super Culture website. I love speaking to brilliant artists, makers and community members about their work, and writing articles that celebrate the rich mix of creative and cultural projects taking place across North Somerset.

Based in the English Department at the University of Bristol, my research explores emotion, the body, storytelling and performance. I’m passionate about making ideas accessible and engaging for wide audiences. I’m the producer for Good Grief Festival and have worked closely with artists, theatre-makers and community organisations on projects exploring grief, memory and creativity. 

I have a special interest in forms of loss and grief that are often overlooked or stigmatised, including the complex emotional experiences of living with long-term illness.
