Harry-Eris

I’ve always been interested in the past – where we come from, the patterns that repeat, and the subtle hints of where we might be heading. History feels like the story of people – how we started, where we’ve travelled, and who we are becoming. My favourite part is watching how culture evolves – how it starts, shifts, and how different people make it their own. I am known as ‘the encyclopedia’ in the groups I support and love bringing fun facts to the Youth Theatre I work with!

I’m equally inspired by animals and nature. They don’t judge; they simply let you be yourself. Jax, my support dog, is an incredible listener (unless I’m asking her to do something!), and Dalia, our four-year-old cat, is a complete snuggle-bug. Being around them reminds me to breathe and enjoy the world as it is.

I’ve been part of Super Culture since I was five and never really left! From childhood I have worked on intergenerational community shows where I grew up on the Bournville, from acting in the likes of ‘Bianca Rosa and the 7 Pirates’ to co-writing ‘9 Million Nobodies’ (Super Culture’s collaboration with Bristol Old Vic’s, Made in Bristol programme) – I found the place I felt at home. I grew up in Super Culture Youth Theatre, and it became my safe space to play, learn, and find my voice. Now, as a volunteer, I hope to help other children and young people discover that same sense of belonging and joy.

Being part of Super Culture means I learn about myself – patience, confidence, and how to encourage others to be comfortable in who they are. Giving back feels natural.

When I’m not in a session, you’ll probably find me with my head in a book at the top of Uphill Nature Reserve – and if there are cows around, all the better.
