National Poetry Library
The mobile version of the National Poetry Library comes to Whirligig Festival as part of A Poet in Every Port, a national project led by Southbank Centre celebrating poetry in coastal communities across the UK. A Poet in Every Port forms part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Festival of Britain – a landmark nationwide celebration of arts, design, science, technology and culture.
The Library is visiting 11 coastal communities on a national road trip, and we are delighted it is pulling into Whirligig Festival with a varied programme of games, activities and performance.
