OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS!
DIASPORA! is a new vision for the celebration of predominantly, under-recognised and marginalised, artists from different diasporas reflected in the city of Bristol and beyond.
DIASPORA! this year will be the inaugural, pilot festival, and we are specifically inviting artists from Africa, Asia, Central and South America for Bristol and the regions.
DIASPORA! will showcase Bristol’s often under-looked and under-employed talent and develop ongoing sustainable relationships between artists of all genres with venues, arts organisations, city establishments and institutions.

The DIASPORA! festival runs from 3-6th May 2024 and will showcase a diverse variety of events, talks and performances including dance, theatre, visual arts, film, poetry, exhibitions, music and other celebrations and expressions of art and cultural talent, as well as an opening and closing ceremony to celebrate the huge diversity of diaspora peoples across the Bristol region.
We intend to make a splash and make Bristol feel its diversity; for diverse audiences and artists to feel their own presence in the city and across the region, represented creatively, joyously and inclusively.
