Explore the material, magical, and medicinal qualities of nettles in this hands-on nettling workshop with Weston-based artist Sam Francis – discover how to ‘take out the sting and put back the zing!’
Weaving with Jo Sinclair

Join the Hospital’s artist-in-residence to create communal large-scale weavings in the great outdoors.

Sofra Brunch with Global Kitchen

Join Global Kitchen for a shared sit-down Sunday Brunch, middle-eastern style. Expect the usual amazing flavours from Weston’s favourite cooking collective, created by Loves and Refugees Welcome North Somerset.

Music and Connection with Beth Roberts

A special festival set, woven together by the theme of connection, including some original compositions inspired by Beth’s work as UHBW Musician-in-Residence.
Kite Making

Get the afternoon off to a flying start and make your own kite with a bit of help from Jo, the hospital’s artist-in-residence, and Bristol College’s creative therapy students.

JarSquad turns surplus food into tasty ferments, pickles, jams and preserves using surplus ingredients, collective know-how, and shared effort. At the Festival we will be making sauerkraut amongst other delicious things.
Birnbeck Precious Plastics

Find out how beach plastics are being repurposed by this pioneering CiC who have recently taken up residence in their new Loo-vre home in Weston’s Grove Park.

Warm up after your swim with a comforting hot chocolate, kindly provided by the community team at Alliance Homes. Stay for a relaxed end-of-day catch-up and let us know how you enjoyed the festival.
