Castellers of London and Colla Pobl y Taf (UK, Catalonia)

UNESCO-recognized Castells (Catalan for “castles”) are breathtaking human towers originating in Catalonia — a centuries-old tradition built on trust, teamwork, and community spirit.

At Whirligig, two colles (teams) from Wales and London will come together to create one of these spectacular living structures. Powered entirely by people, Castells are a powerful symbol of intergenerational connection, cooperation, and collective celebration — values that sit right at the heart of Whirligig and festival culture itself.
