Welcoming Festival Club
2 April 2026
As our clocks change and the wet weather finally recedes, a sense of Summer waiting in the wings is palpable. And in Weston, Summer means Festivals! Festivals that fill the streets with events and activities that unite us in shared, uplifting moments, as well as drawing plenty of new people to town to enjoy Weston’s many different offerings.
2026 is a bumper festival year for Weston. Super Culture return with Whirligig Festival of Outdoor Arts, Weston Arts + Health Festival and Good Grief Weston, and wider partners bring so much to enjoy too – the new Summer Fest at the Beach, Weston Wallz, Afrifest Weston, and Weston Sea Shanty and Folk Music Festival as starters!

Festivals are fast becoming a vibrant part of the Weston experience, and Super Culture’s engagement programme is shifting to reflect this evolving landscape as we launch our brand new ‘Festival Club’.
Festival Club presents a multi-arts offer for all ages, led by a selection of artists – local and national – who are part of the Festival season. You are invited to try something new, get directly involved in the festival action and most importantly have fun! The first phase of Festival Club runs up to Whirligig on 6 and 7 June, with a host of free workshops that bring the wow and wonder of circus, outdoor arts and performance to your doorstep. With offers for all the family and performance opportunities at our festivals, everyone and anyone is invited along.
Workshops will take place in community venues across Weston with a combination of open access sessions and targeted offers to existing groups. From breakdancing to flag making and circus skills to flashmobs, we’d love you to summon your inner party spirit and get festive with us.
Festival Club builds upon Super Culture’s 18 years of theatre-based participation and engagement that has inspired countless creative journeys in Weston and beyond. With exciting community offers emerging from our friends at The Blakehay and Front Room Theatres, we are broadening our engagement programme to align with the cross-arts content of our Festival Year, a shift that promises a diversity of artistic encounters for pals new and old. All sessions are free of pay-what-you want. We can’t wait to spin plates, clown around and learn new moves together!
Festival Club is kindly funded by Arts Council England and Without Walls. Check out our What’s On Pages to see the full programme, as well as more information on other local engagement offers including Open Door adult theatre company and Chapter One creative writing group.
