Nurture
Flower and Doe Theatre make theatre performances with parents and babies. Past performances include; True Birth: A Ritual, Offbeat Festival and GAIA at The Old Fire Station, Oxford.
In Weston-super-Mare 3 new workshops and a performance Nurture will take place at The Common Room. Parents are encouraged to bring their babies (0-18 months) as there will be lots of opportunities for play. Together the group will devise a new show allowing parents to reflect on their experiences of birth (stories which often remain untold).
On December 1st there will be a show starring real parents and babies. Tickets will be available on Eventbrite. “We want to make creative opportunities for new parents and challenge the stigma that you can’t do both (have a baby and create theatre)” Harriet, Founder. “If you want to write, sing, dance, stage design, share some comic writing do get in touch at Floweranddoetheatre@gmail.com or on Instagram.
