Flag Making Taster Sessions

Get creative and become a part of one of North Somerset’s biggest summer celebration! Following the massive success of last year’s Arts & Health Festival, the Flag Carnival is back for 2026 – bigger, bolder, and more colourful than ever.

Throughout the spring, local schools, neighbourhood groups, and organisations have been hand making unique flags that tell their stories, celebrate their heritage, and showcase local community spirit. In July, all of these creations will come together for a massive, high-energy Flag Parade and public procession, where they will be displayed as a large-scale art installation.

Want to see your own design flying high in the parade? Come along to one of our upcoming Free Flag Taster Sessions! These workshops are the perfect opportunity to get inspired, experiment with different design techniques, and start creating a bold, expressive flag that represents you, your friends, or your community group.

No experience is necessary – just bring your creativity and community spirit!
